Butler County Democrats Praise West Chester Steps to Protect Workers and Halt Plans for So-Called Right to Work

HAMILTON – The following statement is in reaction to the motion to table so-called Right to Work by township trustees at last evening’s township meeting amidst overwhelming protest from community members.

“We hope that Trustees Welch and Lang look back at this month and realize that West Chester residents expect their elected officials to fight for all community members and not adopt divisive policies pushed by outside corporate interests.  That’s not strong leadership, nor is using divisive and dehumanizing political rhetoric that doesn’t respect ordinary citizens.  We will continue to stand by working men and women of this community.  And if Welch and Lang attempt to bring this up again, we’ll be right back to fight this again, too,” said Butler Democratic Party Chair Jocelyn Bucaro.
